Globe and Mail app

The renowned Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail based in Toronto hired C&T to design their iPad and iPhone apps to take their digital presence and subscriptions to the next level. We created a flexible design framework with a great variety of modules that could completely morph the experience for different times of the day and between week and weekend days to tailor the content based on readers interests. The design language was fully inspired by the print version, preserving an elegant and premium look.

Design Explorations

During the discovery phase we explored 2 distinct directions that led to the final designs. They both kept the integrity of the print version of the newspaper, varying in logo, navigation and typographic layout treatments.
